Frequently Asked Questions

What type of material do you use?

Polyurea: Known for its exceptional strength, flexibility, and rapid curing, polyurea coatings are ideal for concrete surfaces in demanding environments such as industrial flooring and waterproofing solutions.

Polyaspartic: Offering fast curing properties and excellent chemical resistance, polyaspartic coatings are perfect for projects requiring quick turnaround times, such as garage floors, decorative concrete, and outdoor surfaces.

Do I need a moisture vapor barrier?

It depends. All concrete is different, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer. Moisture Vapor Barriers (MVBs) can be expensive and may not always be necessary. Our products are designed to withstand a healthy amount of moisture. However, we will assess your concrete's moisture content and check for signs of high moisture transmission during our evaluation. If we find that your concrete could benefit from additional protection, we'll recommend a moisture vapor barrier accordingly.

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely, ensuring compliance and providing peace of mind to our clients is paramount to us. We are fully insured and licensed to operate in the state of Missouri.

What is this talk of grinding the concrete?

Grinding the concrete before coating is crucial for surface preparation. It creates a clean, smooth surface by removing imperfections and old coatings, ensuring proper adhesion of the new coating. This process enhances coating performance, increases durability, and provides a uniform appearance across the surface. By eliminating surface contaminants and creating an adequate profile, grinding sets the stage for a successful coating application, preventing issues like peeling or flaking over time.

Are the coatings slippery?

We say that slipperiness is in the eyes of the beholder. However, we do not find that these are particularly slippery. We are also able to add traction additives to our top coat.
